| Video: Lowrie's buzzer beater gets Bay past Avon |
It’s been a tough season for the Bay boys basketball team. But as it turned out, the Rockets had their say in the West Shore Conference race. Friday night, senior Bryan Lowrie drilled a 3-pointer to beat the buzzer and give Bay a thrilling 54-51 home-court win over Avon. The loss, combined with Midview’s 61-49 win over Vermilion, eliminated the Eagles from title contention. Lowrie led all scorers with 19 points, while Scott Rapps added 14. Claude Gray led Avon, now 7-3 in the WSC, with 18 points, while Ryan Poyle finished with 14. - Photos also available for viewing and purchase by visiting our Photography page. - Want to see video highlights of Bee Bouncers?
