CHAMPIONS: Bees take SWC swim and dive titles

The Brecksville Bees made it a clean sweep and broke some records along the way at the 2014 Southwestern Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Westlake Rcreation Center. The Bees scored 370 points to swim past runner-up Amherst\'s 245 in the girls competition. Avon Lake finished third with 223 points, followed by Westlake with 176, Olmsted Falls with 149, North Olmsted with 133 and Berea-Midpark with 99. Demon girls, Titan boys swim on to SWC victories

One of the top swimming and diving matchups in the Southwestern Conference took place last weekend at the Westlake Recreation Center pool. When it was all said and done, it was Berea-Midpark that came one event away from a sweep. The Westlake girls won the final event of the night, taking the 400 Freestyle Relay to edge the Titans 93-92. But in the boys meet, Berea-Midpark got four-win performances from seniors Quenten Cipra and Ray Klebowski to come away with an impressive 111-74 win...    (5798 reads)

Brecksville swimmers push through, down Eagles

Even though the swimmers of Brecksville-Broadview Heights built up a substantial lead over North Olmsted early on, the Bees kept pushing, especially at the end of each race.
